Renting and Sharing Bikes

There are plenty of options in and around Bern for sharing or renting a bike. Be it for short rides through the city’s neighbourhoods or for long-distance excursions into the Bernese countryside – these companies have the right ride for any occasion.

Inside a modern bike hire centre are three people with their e-bikes. They look cheerful and content, as if they are about to return their bikes or prepare for an e-bike tour. The space is functional and inviting, with clear signage and a service area that seems ready to help cyclists on their way.

Bike Sharing

PubliBike

Practical and easy: Thanks to PubliBike’s bike sharing system, you can borrow bicycles from stations all over the city and its suburbs – PubliBike operates the largest bike-sharing network in the country. The stations are marked with the typical PubliBike columns and the bikes are easily unlocked and locked using the app or the SwissPass. The app is not only useful for unlocking the bike, it also makes it easy to find the nearest station thanks to the integrated map. Perfect for short distances within the city. Or how else would you get from the Zytglogge (Clock Tower) down to Marzili quickly and easily?
