TOP-EVENT

Along the route in the Emmental and Oberaargau regions, rolling hills, picturesque valleys and flower-decorated farmhouses provide a picturesque backdrop. For the 16th time, the roads between Huttwil and Sumiswald will be closed, allowing participants on bikes, rollerblades, skateboards or even in jogging and hiking boots to enjoy a free ride. Bikes can even be hired on site if booked in advance. Basically, everything is allowed at the SlowUp - as long as the vehicle runs without a motor.

The best thing about the traffic-free day: it's free and everyone sets their own pace and distance. There is no fixed start and finish point. There will be plenty of entertainment and refreshments on and off the road. There are bouncy castles and a visit from Globi along the route for the little SlowUp fans, various refreshment stands for the older ones and there will even be a warm-up party with a bar and entertainment in Sumiswald on Saturday. So the SlowUp Emmental-Oberaargau also has something for those with less enthusiasm for sport!

Important to know: There is no such thing as bad weather for a SlowUp, only bad clothing - so the event takes place whatever the weather.

26 kilometres of the SlowUp are also accessible for people with disabilities. More information on accessibility can be found on the website.
