The picture shows a scene from an open-air theatre play. In the foreground, five people in traditional dress stand in front of a rustic wooden house with green shutters and flower boxes. Two women and three men appear to be involved in a lively discussion or action. The house is surrounded by trees and there is a well with a bucket of water and a wooden barrel. The setting appears rural and idyllic.

An operetta in June and a folk play from July to August: The Freilichtspiele Moosegg offers plenty of theatre during summer

The open-air stage hosts touching plays that relate to the Emmental region and its inhabitants, or that fit in well with the event in terms of dramaturgy. Simon Burkhalter has been leading the popular open-air spectacle since 2017.
