Just a few metres under the Parliament Building’s panorama terrace in Bern’s city centre lies the oriental oasis Hammam & Spa Oktogon Bern. The beautiful listed building owes its name to its original octagonal shape. On the inside, there are various steam and cleansing rooms, a warm pool, and a relaxation area spread over four floors.

Bernaqua at the Westside shopping mall isn’t only a water park, there is also a large spa with all kinds of treatments and services. How about a Thai massage or a Roman-Irish bathing ritual, for example? The sauna landscape with its Kneipp basins is both relaxing and energizing and gives your immune system the boost it needs for the upcoming season. There is also an area at Bernaqua that is reserved for women.

At the Solbad & Spa Schönbühl, you’ll find the largest saltwater bath in all of Switzerland. Warm saltwater, jacuzzi loungers, and underwater music make your visit a wonderfully relaxing experience. And the large sauna landscape has everything spa fans could ask for – the earth&fire sauna is a special highlight, with the heat being provided by a cosy fireplace.

Where the people of Bern take a dip in the Aare in summer, you can enjoy a sauna in autumn and winter. The five founders of Saunaare have lovingly and skilfully converted the sauna wagons and selected Schönausteg and Eichholz as locations close to the River Aare. This means you can perfectly combine a sauna session with a quick dip in the cold Aare. It does body and soul the power of good.

The Althaus farm is situated above Oberbalm in idyllic surroundings. The best way to enjoy the beautiful views is in the warm hot tub. The wellness programme for a maximum of four people is prepared for guests with a great deal of love and dedication. There is plenty of wood available and the water temperature can be adjusted independently. After bathing, the pampering programme continues with delicious soup, cheese, bread and tea in the beautifully decorated greenhouse.
