Snowshoe trail Panorama trail
The summer classic is also rewarding in winter as a mostly unmarked trail. From the watershed, follow the panoramic trail signposts. The view of the peaks of the Gantrisch range changes constantly, as does the view to the right over the Mittelland and towards the Jura.

Soon after setting off from the Selibühl hut, you have to decide whether to climb the popular and frequently visited viewpoint on the Selibüel. It is always worthwhile when visibility is good, especially when the view to the Bernese Alps is clear. The descent follows the ascent path back down to the Selibüelhütte. The trail then bypasses the hill on the south side via a forest path, with magnificent views of the nearby Gantrisch mountains of Bürglen and Ochsen. Following the ridge, the path climbs over steps to the Schüpfenfluh, where the towering flysch cliffs provide a clear view towards the Mittelland. Here, as on the Selibühl and then on the Pfyffe, a panorama board explains the names of the visible peaks. The descent on the other side of the Schüpfenfluh is steep.
After reaching the cross-country ski trail, we follow it to Süftenen. Cross-country skiers will be grateful if you walk alongside the tracks. Follow the ridge from Süftenen to the mountain hut, then follow the hiking trail towards Pfyffe and, at Gägger, the marked Schwarzenbühl panorama trail again. As you head west, the view opens up more and more towards the Fribourg Pre-Alps and the German Fribourg Plateau. A steep descent towards Zollhaus is still to come. From there, there is a connection to the Schwarzsee-Freiburg bus route.
