Move and meet
The initial simple idea for a bike park for bike freaks gave rise to what has become a nationwide social project. What makes the Swiss Bike Park so special is the diversity of its visitors, which range from children making their first attempts on a bike and families spending their weekend at the park to para-athletes on specialised bikes and top athletes who come to train. Admission is free, making the park accessible to all bike enthusiasts.
About 40 minutes by bike or 20 minutes by car from the city of Bern, you’ll find a unique biker’s paradise spread across 30,000 square metres. Flowing loops, pump tracks, jumps, technical trails, a velodrome – the park offers everything a bike crack could wish for and more, no matter the age or level of expertise. It is also a flagship project in terms of accessibility and inclusion.
Offering on site
Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, a mountain biker or a dirt jumper: the Swiss Bike Park organises customised private classes with certified bike guides, as well as camps for kids and courses for bikers of all ages. Further information can be found here.
If you want to be perfectly prepared for your visit to Oberrieden, we suggest watching one of the various how-to videos on the park’s website to learn everything you need to know about riding berms, switchbacks, steps, drops, and more.
In the spring of 2025, the scavenger hunt “Wo ist bÖKKi?”will be added to the list of exciting things to experience at the Swiss Bike Park. The offering is aimed at families in particular. Tricky puzzles, fun exercises involving movement and a surprise gift await.
